Lapeyre Stair’s Alternating Tread Stair recognized as Both a Winner and an Honorable Mention in The Construction Specifier Inaugural Readers’ Choice Product Awards
The Construction Specifier announced today that Lapeyre Stair’s Alternating Tread Stair has been named a Winner in the Best Tried and True category and an Honorable Mention in the Structural & Core Systems category in the
magazine’s inaugural Readers’ Choice Product Awards.
Lapeyre Stair invented and patented the alternating tread stair, which provides a safer, space-saving solution for vertical access in industrial environments. Where space is limited and safety is non-negotiable, the design offers ergonomic advantages over fixed ladders and steep ship stairs while complying with OSHA and International Building Code (IBC) standards.
Winners and honorable mentions in the Readers’ Choice Product Awards are determined entirely by vote among The Construction Specifier’s readership. Every eligible entry was presented online for review during the voting period, with no separate judging panel selecting results in advance. This recognition was announced in the magazine’s September 2026 issue.
“Our inaugural Readers’ Choice Product Awards drew strong engagement from The Construction Specifier’s readership, and Lapeyre Stair’s Alternating Tread Stair clearly earned that support,” said Jason Cramp, Executive Editor of The Construction Specifier. “We congratulate Lapeyre Stair on this recognition.”
Lapeyre Stair invented and patented the alternating tread stair and continues to manufacture safe, space-saving vertical access solutions for industrial environments.
